Neymar could be set for a summer move with Paris Saint-Germain open to letting the Brazilian leave, according to reports in France.

The 27-year-old suffered an injury-plagued season in the French capital, making just 17 Ligue 1 appearances as a result.

It has also been reported that Neymar has grown unhappy and frustrated at PSG due to their failures in the Champions League, and is looking for a return to Spain with either Barcelona or Real Madrid due to his lack of motivation.

Now, L’Equipe report that PSG would be willing to let him go if an ‘extra large’ offer came in for him.

Just how large an offer would be to be considered ‘extra large’ is unclear, but it would be enormous seen as they paid £200m for him when he signed from Barcelona in 2017.

A return to Barca is possible, as is a move to Real Madrid where Zinedine Zidane is overseeing a substantial rework of the first team squad.

Zidane has already brought in Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo this summer, so whether they can produce another massive transfer fee for Neymar is yet to be seen.

L’Equipe describe the transfer situation as ‘very, very complicated’ but also suggest that PSG are interested in Philippe Coutinho and a swap deal could be proposed for the two Brazilians.

Despite injury woes since arriving in Paris, Neymar has netted 51 times in 58 games for PSG, winning Ligue 1 twice, the Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue and Trophee des Champions.

Neymar is currently sitting out of Brazil’s Copa America challenge due to an ankle injury.
