European destinations that are cheaper for Brits this Easter than last year, including Majorca, Corfu and the Algarve

GOOD news for Brits looking for a cheap last-minute break – some of UK holidaymakers’ favourite destinations in Europe are much cheaper this Easter compared to last year.

Among them are seaside resorts such as Costa del Sol and Majorca, with some destinations seeing prices of package holidays falling by as much as 34 per cent.

TravelSupermarket compared the prices of package holidays available to Brits this Easter with deals from last year.

It found that across the board, the average prices were the same or had fallen.

TravelSupermarket spokesperson Emma Coulthurst explained how some Brits are “holding back” on booking due to Brexit, which has contributed towards the fall in prices of holidays.

She added: “Lower holiday prices and last minute discounts are also likely to be down to renewed competition from Eastern Med destinations such as Egypt and Turkey making the market even more competitive this year.”

With destinations such as Spain, Portugal and Italy on the cheap-list, it is worth booking your Easter holiday now for a bargain break.
