The final starting XI chosen by BBC Sport users – but who will Gareth Southgate go for?

We asked you who should start for England against the Czech Republic – and there’s one attacking star you think has spent too long warming the bench.

Jadon Sancho was the sixth most popular pick overall for Tuesday’s Group D decider against the Czechs.

The Borussia Dortmund winger has had no game time so far at Euro 2020 and, after a goalless draw against Scotland on Friday, our readers think it’s time he saw some action.

As for the formation, a massive 71.07% of you want to see England line-up in a 4-3-3. So who makes the cut? And who loses their place to Sancho?

Note: The cut-off for selections came before it emerged that Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell are isolating after coming into contact with Scotland’s Billy Gilmour, who has tested positive for Covid-19.

Goalkeeper

There is no doubt in your minds about this one – Jordan Pickford was picked in 94.92% of your teams, beating Sam Johnstone (3.42%) and Aaron Ramsdale (1.65%). Pickford impressed against Scotland on Friday with some crucial saves.

Defenders

Kyle Walker (35.82%) was the most popular choice for right-back ahead of Reece James (27.08%) and Kieran Trippier (24.36%).

Ben Chilwell, who hasn’t played a minute yet at Euro 2020, gets the nod at left-back with 39.03% of you selecting the Chelsea defender ahead of Luke Shaw (33.39%).

John Stones was the third most picked player overall and is joined at centre-back by Tyrone Mings. The pair have started both of England’s first two Euro 2020 matches and are yet to concede a goal.

Midfielders

Declan Rice, Phil Foden and Mason Mount were the most popular choices for a trio in midfield, with Foden and Mount the fourth and fifth most picked players overall respectively. Kalvin Phillips, the ‘Yorkshire Pirlo’, misses out.

Forwards

Sancho joins Harry Kane and Jack Grealish in attack to complete your starting XI.

Raheem Sterling, England’s only goalscorer of Euro 2020 so far, did not make the cut. Only six players in the 26-man squad were selected fewer times than the Manchester City forward.

You can still pick your XI but your selections won’t be counted towards the result – don’t forget to share your picks on social media using #bbcfootball.
