Esports Stadium Arlington Hires Abacus3 to Seek Naming Rights, Sponsorship Deals

The Esports Stadium Arlington Database-Link-e1521645463907 (ESA) in Arlington, Texas, has tapped esports consultancy and marketing firm Abacus3 to market the naming rights and sponsorship packages for the venue.

Opened last November, ESA is a $10M, 100,000 square-foot facility designed by Populous, and it has already hosted such events as the FACEIT Esports Championship Series (ECS) Season 6 Finals for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Database-Link-e1521645463907, as well as the Collegiate Rocket League Database-Link-e1521645463907 National Championship. The venue can hold up to 2,500 attendees, and can accommodate enough competitors for a 100-player battle royale game.

Esports Stadium Arlington launched with NVIDIA GeForce as a founding partner. According to a report from DallasNews last November, the city of Arlington will receive the first $1M from a naming rights deal. The venue is located in Arlington’s entertainment district, in close proximity to the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Park, and a pair of Six Flags theme parks.

Abacus3 was originally founded in 2018 as EGENCY, and changed its name in May to reflect an evolving company mission. The EGENCY website lists such clients as Twitch Database-Link-e1521645463907, DreamHack Database-Link-e1521645463907, Facebook, and Riot Games Database-Link-e1521645463907, while Abacus3’s new focus includes supporting collegiate esports initiatives.
