Kappa has been steadily increasing its involvement in esports, especially in the United Kingdom, over the past year. After establishing a deal with Vexed Gaming last August, it has entered three-year partnerships with other UK organisations Diabolus and Demise – as well as announcing alliances with Spanish brand MAD Lions and Chinese organisation Royal Never Give Up.

Dave Bandell, Team Sport Manager at Kappa, spoke on the deal: “Kappa are delighted to become apparel partner with the World’s largest esports company. ESL are a true global brand and they share the same ambitions as us in the esports arena. We look forward to growing our partnership together.”

Since unveiling the competition’s return, ESL UK has unveiled online bookmaker Puntt, wager-based competitive platform Stakester, German automotive giant Mercedes-Benz and as partners for the upcoming season. Intel and AOC Gaming have also continued their sponsorship of the Premiership.

James Elderton, Senior Brands Partnership Manager for ESL UK, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Kappa on board for the Autumn season of the ESL CS:GO Premiership. Kappa are primed to become a culturally relevant brand in the ecosystem. This partnership is a precursor to an upcoming collaboration, a new line of lifestyle merchandise, which we can’t wait for the community to see within the ESL Shop.”

Esports Insider says: Kappa has been a supporter of UK esports for a year now and it’s clearly not done, getting involved with one of the nation’s most prominent competitions. ESL UK has done a good job securing partners for the upcoming season of the Premiership and we hope that doesn’t go unnoticed.
