Erling Haaland 'attracted' to Man Utd transfer despite Real Madrid and Juventus interest

Erling Haaland remains interested in a possible transfer to play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United despite links with Spanish and Italian giants Real Madrid and Juventus. The 19-year-old is level with Robert Lewandowski at the top of the scoring charts so far this season, and could be on the move in January.

Haaland has now netted 27 goals in just 19 outings so far this term, attracting interest from all over Europe.

The Leeds-born teenager has represented Norway at eight different age groups having made his full debut earlier this year, and he could be on his way to play in England in 2020.

Spanish outlet AS have claimed that United have an advantage in their transfer pursuit for the youngster, because he is excited about the idea of linking up with Solskjaer.

The former Manchester United striker handed Haaland his debut at Molde in 2017 and oversaw his progression until his move to Old Trafford in December.

Erling’s father Alfe-Inge Haaland, who played for both Leeds and Manchester City, has given his thoughts on his son’s future, and mentioned a possible move to the Premier League.

“He was a Leeds fan and a [Manchester] City fan and a Nottingham Forest fan – he followed me obviously, but that is what you do in your youth,” Alfe-Inge Haaland told talkSPORT.

“The thing Ole looked at when he took him was that striker’s touch in front of goal and the way he scores goals,” Alf-Inge later added.

“If you can also have the physical thing next to it, it is a good combination.

“Up to now he is ahead of the stage we thought he would be at.

“He is built for the Premier League, but whether that will happen now or at a later stage, we don’t know.”

“He is quite pacy and a talent, but still a raw talent.

“So we will cross our fingers and hope it goes well, and at the moment it is going well for him.”
