Erin Molan policeman fiancé, Sean Ogilvy, has been wearing a sling in hospital to make the Channel Nine star ‘feel a bit better’ after she broke her arm and hand during a nasty fall.

Radio star Alan Jones said on his 2GB Breakfast Show on Monday that Sean made the gesture in a bid to cheer his bride-to-be up as she recovers from her injury.

Alan said that he had been speaking to Erin, who is in ‘excruciating pain.’

‘It didn’t, but she thought it wasn’t a bad gesture. I saw the pictures, it’s a brutal break.’

Meanwhile, Erin, 36, told her Weekend Edition co-host, Natalie Peters, that she hopes to be back at work soon, but is still in pain.

‘It’s very painful, one of the more painful breaks you can do but my attitude is always “it could’ve been so much worse” so I live another day,’ she said.

She added that it’s ‘probably more painful for Sean.’

‘He’s already sick to death of me. No, he’s been amazing, he honestly has. We got a 16-month-old… it’s tough for him having to do everything.’

Erin spent 10 days in hospital after breaking her arm and hand in a horrific accident at home.

The Channel Nine sports reporter tripped and fell as she walked downstairs during the night to fetch a bottle for her daughter Eliza.

The blonde has now returned home to rest and will continue to miss work duties until she’s made a full recovery, Nine News reported.

Her absence from Nine and her radio show comes amid claims she had been sidelined by the network due to reported feud with Andrew Johns.

The 45-year-old ‘doesn’t like working with her’, a television source told Daily Mail Australia earlier this month.

The source said Andrew’s biggest gripes were that Erin giggled and spoke over him and other Nine personalities when they were talking about football.

Another source close to Andrew said he did not know when the problems between the pair began but the footballing great would not be backing down.

A Channel Nine spokeswoman said claims Erin was sidelined by the network during the NRL Grand Final were ‘clearly another beat up about Erin’.

Victoria Buchan told The Daily Telegraph: ‘Erin hosted the first three hours of the (grand final) coverage on the day from the ground and did all the post-show interviews with the families of the winning teams.’
