Eriksen receives CPR on pitch after horror incident during Denmark vs Finland

Christian Eriksen received CPR on the pitch after a horror incident during Denmark vs Finland.

Eriksen fell to the turf during the first half of the Euro 2020 clash.

There was immediate concern from players of both countries, with his teammates forming a barrier around him.

Medical staff rushed on to the field of play and CPR was administered.

Eriksen’s wife came on to the pitch and was consoled by Kasper Schmeichel, who himself was in tears.

The Finland players and match officials then left the pitch, before the fixture was officially postponed.

A screen was put up around Eriksen on the field of play while medics and the players remained by his side.

Eriksen, 29, has over 100 caps for his country.

He begun his career at Ajax before spending seven years at Tottenham, playing in over 200 Premier League fixtures for the north Londoners and helping them to the 2019 Champions League final.

Eriksen left Spurs for Inter Milan last year, where he currently plays his football.
