England vs Kosovo LIVE: Stream, score, goals, team news and latest updates from St Mary’s

Follow all the action live from St Mary’s as England take on Kosovo in their final Euro 2020 qualifier of the international break.

England have taken three wins from three in their qualifying campaign thus far after comfortably dispatching Bulgaria last week courtesy of a Harry Kane hat-trick.

Jadon Sancho is set to make his third starting appearance under Gareth Southgate, while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Chilwell also return to the first eleven. Declan Rice and Ross Barkley have retained their starting berths in the midfield three, meaning Mason Mount will have to wait for his full debut.

Plenty of national pride on show from both sets of players. We’re almost ready to get underway!

The teams are out at St Mary’s and it’s time for the national anthems…

Kosovo manager Bernard Challandes, speaking to ITV Sport: “Clearly, for the players, it was a dream to play at Wembley. As a coach a game is a game, perhaps to play here it’s better for us.

“It was at first a disappointment but now we play against England, the stadium is very nice.

“Why not a surprise? We have to try.”

Gareth Southgate, speaking to ITV Sport:  “Jadon Sancho is in to freshen up the team. We have good players to come in and it’s a chance in the wide areas to refresh the group.

“His ability one against one to beat players, his decision making is excellent. His number of goals and assists at Dortmund speaks for itself.”

Mason Mount and James Maddison are again on the bench for England tonight. There have been calls for both to start, particularly after Mount’s impressive cameo against Bulgaria. But they will have to take their chance if called upon as substitutes.

Kosovo fans make their presence known outside St Mary’s.

Here’s Miguel Delaney’s piece following England’s victory over Bulgaria on the economic disparity in the international game:

Kosovo sit just a point behind England in the Group A standings and are yet to lose a game in this qualification campaign. They are, then, very much the surprise package of the tournament so far. Challandes’ side sit in a healthy position after a 2-1 victory over Czech Republic on Saturday, but few expect them to upset England tonight.

Kosovo boss Bernard Challandes, meanwhile, has spoken highly of Southgate’s England team:

“We are Kosovo and we are here against one of the best teams in the world, in my opinion – the best team in the world.

I think it is in my philosophy that if we don’t dream it is unnecessary to play such games, we should dream and do all that is possible to disturb England.”

Here’s what Gareth Southgate has had to say about tonight’s opposition:

It will be a very different style of game.

Kosovo will be very high pressing, hard working, a more attacking threat than we faced on Saturday. Maybe there will be more space to play up front.”

And here’s five players who have a point to prove tonight starting with England’s exceptionally talented trailblazer, Jadon Sancho:

Team News

Gareth Southgate makes three changes from the team that comfortably beat Bulgaria on Saturday. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Chilwell come in for Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose at right back and left back respectively. And there’s a start for Jadon Sancho, who replaces Marcus Rashford.

Here our Chief Football Writer Miguel Delaney explains why Kosovo will be an entirely different force for England to reckon with compared to their previous matches:

And here’s England’s starting eleven, with Jadon Sancho, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Chilwell all back in the side.

Prediction

Kosovo are unbeaten for a reason and will provide England’s biggest challenge yet, but Southgate’s men should have enough talent to secure their fourth win of their campaign.

Southgate is expected to keep faith with experienced heads to start. England will seek to dominate the game and attack from the first whistle, with the trickery of Jadon Sancho and Raheem Sterling likely to cause problems.

England 3-0 Kosovo

Kick off is at 7.45pm on Tuesday.

How can I watch it?

Manchester United‘s Jesse Lingard and Aaron Wan-Bissaka both withdrew from the squad and will not feature against Kosovo. Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose both started against Bulgaria, but could be rotated out for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Chilwell respectively.
