But the winger’s magic night was marred by vile abuse from the stands as home supporters directed a number of monkey chants at him and his team-mates.

And a fan also hurled a lighter at Hudson-Odoi during the shocking scenes in Podgorica.

Afterwards, he revealed the full extent of the abuse suffered as he followed Gareth Southgate’s demand for the governing body act.

WARNING

But sadly admitted he had been warned pre-match what to expect.

Hudson-Odoi said: “We are equal and play a fair game and enjoy it, but when you hear that it’s not right and it’s unacceptable and hopefully Uefa deal with it because when I was over there me and Rosey heard it.

“They were saying ‘ooh ooh ah’ monkey stuff so you just have to keep your heads and keep a strong mentality and hopefully Rosey is okay. If anything we will have a chat but he is a strong guy as well.

“Hopefully Uefa will do something about it. It’s not right.

“I was enjoying the game and to hear it is never right but you have to have a strong mentality.”

Hudson-Odoi also revealed how Rose and Raheem Sterling had helped him to prepare to face the disgusting chanting.

‘IT’S NOT RIGHT’

He added: “Raheem has always helped me and talked to me about it saying ‘don’t worry it’s football’, people do it, it’s not right in the game but you have to stay strong.

“I’ve spoken to him and Rosey about it. In football you will always get stuff like this, people being rude to you and say things you don’t want to hear but sometimes you just have to block it out of your head.

“That should never happen in football though. You just need to enjoy the game.”

Southgate blasted the abuse as he confirmed the Football Association will be making an official complaint.

The England boss said: “It’s not acceptable. We’ll make sure that it is reported officially — I know what I heard.

“I definitely heard abuse of Danny Rose when he got booked at the end of the game. There is no doubt in my mind that happened.

“We will deal with it in the right way and we’ve got to make sure we support our players.”
