England ace Tammy Abraham eager to take ideas from 'best striker in the world' Harry Kane

Tammy Abraham admits he will be raiding Harry Kane’s armoury of skills and ideas this week to make himself a better striker with England.

The Chelsea forward, the Premier League’s joint leading goalscorer with eight goals so far from eight games, is the in-form striker in the England squad.

Tottenham star Kane is the man who will be leading the attack in the Euro 2020 qualifying games as England’s main striker.

And 22-year-old Abraham, aiming to win his third cap, admits he will be studying Kane closely over this next week to pick up some tips from the master.

Abraham, given his head this season like the rest of the Chelsea youngsters by manager Frank Lampard, said: “Harry’s someone I’ve grown up watching. For me he’s the best striker in the world.

“I was always excited to come here, to watch him train, train with him, and hopefully maybe play with him as well.

“He was always going to be my idol. Not just here. I’m here to stay, to do well, the best I can.

“I’m here because right now I’m doing so well, joint top goalscorer in the league. Hopefully I’ll get my chance and take it.

“I’ve come here to steal ideas. I’ve come to learn the other parts of Harry’s game, add it to my game as well.

“You see his finishing, left foot, right foot, just take that into my game so when I go back I can work on myself and practice.”

Abraham’s goal-haul puts him three ahead of England colleague Kane in the Premier League goalscorer charts.

And he will be desperate to make his mark when the pair face off as Chelsea take on Tottenham this season.

The London rivals will scrap it out at Tottenham’s new stadium on December 21, before playing each other at Stamford Bridge on February 22.
