EMPIRE actress Amanda Detmer is singing a tune behind bars after her arrest for driving under the influence.
Detmer, who plays Tracy Kingsley on the prime time soap, was cuffed on Sunday after she allegedly smashed her vehicle into a utility pole and took off in California, Chico police told TMZ.
Officers responded to a report about the pole and searched the area, where they found a vehicle with a severely damaged front end, according to cops.
Authorities claim Detmer was behind the wheel and confirmed she was behind the collision when they pulled her over.
A police investigation determined she was allegedly drinking and driving at the time of the accident.
The 48-year-old actress faces DUI and hit-and-run charges, in addition to being charged with leaving the scene of a traffic collision.
This wasn’t Detmer’s first run-in with the law.
She was previously charged with speeding in 2014 and unsafe speed a decade before that, court records from Butte County, California, show.
She was also charged with not having proper headlights and “being unlawful to drive unless licensed” in 1995, according to Page Six.
A rep for Detmer didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from The Sun.
Detmer joined the Empire cast as Lucious Lyon’s ex-lover and the mother of his nemesis, Jeff Kingsley, in Season 5.
She’s best known for her roles in 2001’s Final Destination and 2006’s You, Me and Dupree, although she has acting credits in 57 other films, according to IMDB.
