In next Monday’s episode of ITV’s Emmerdale, The Dales will be shaken after Megan Macey (Gaynor Faye) discovers a heartbreaking bit of news about her dead boyfriend.
Megan’s man Frank Clayton died last month while trapped in the factory while a fire ripped through the building.
While at Frank’s funeral, in scenes yet to be aired, the stunning blonde discovers that Frank was planning to ask for her hand in marriage before he died.
Megan breaks down upon learning the heartbreaking news.

Frank’s daughter Tracy Metcalfe delivered the revelation to Megan by showing her the ring box which she thinks Frank was saving from the factory fire when he ran back into the building.
Struggling with the blow, Megan gives the congregation some home truths before she blurts out that she’s leaving.
Frank was killed after Amy Wyatt and her mum Kerry Wyatt caused the recent blaze, which destroyed the business and cost the father-of-two his life.

The police have since closed their investigation into the incident, satisfied that Frank caused the fire after Kerry pointed the finger of blame in his direction.
In the episode, Vanessa and Tracy also pay tribute to their dad.
It will follow Tracy still being determined to prove her father’s innocence over the fire.

But fans will have to wait until Friday’s episode to find out if Amy reveals to her boyfriend Nate that the fire was her fault.
In tense scenes she breaks down to him as she struggles to tell him what’s wrong.
