Emmerdale's Danny Miller welcomes new family member in heartwarming announcement

Emmerdale star Danny Miller is the proud new owner of an adorable pet puppy named Gini.

Welcoming the pooch to the family, the 29-year-old star shared a celebratory photo with his fans over Instagram.

With a mop of golden hair and huge brown eyes, little Gini curled up on the sofa as she gazed up at her new owner.

The actor, who plays Aaron Dingle on the hip ITV soap, promised to stay by the pup’s side as she adjusts to life as a Miller.

He said: “The newest member of The Miller Famalam, meet… GINI.

“Can’t make empty promises, Gini but one thing I will promise is..”

Adding the hashtag “you’ll never walk alone,” Danny was clearly chuffed to have found himself a four-legged friend.

In the comment section below, his 413,000 followers praised the adorable fur ball, convinced Danny would make an excellent dog-owner.

One gushed: “Aw wee cutie.”

A second swooned: “So cute precious memories to be made.”

“Aaawww you’re too precious Gini, I know you’ll be very happy in your new home,” added a third.

Considering Emmerdale has suspended filming for the foreseeable future, the Mancunian actor has plenty of bonding time in store with his new pup.

The soap star made headlines last week when he debuted a shocking new hairdo, shaving his head for charity.

Raising money for the Once Upon a Smile charity, Danny ditched his usual cropped barnet and shaved off his beard.

Racking up a whopping £1,000 for the cause, the charity offers relief and counselling to families who have lost a beloved family member.

Showcasing the new look, he wrote: “You want a job doing… Thanks to your generous donations for this… #allforcharity #lockdownchop”

Danny isn’t the only celeb to get the chop in quarantine – both David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo took a razor to their barnet in the last few weeks.
