Emmerdale star 'growled like mad dog' before biting pensioner's face in pub row

Emmerdale star Mark Jordon screamed “I’ll f*****g kill you” and growled “like a mad dog” before attacking a pensioner, a court heard yesterday.

Jordon, 54, who plays Daz Spencer in the Yorkshire-based soap, allegedly bit 68-year-old Andrew Potts and pushed his partner Rosalind O’Neill after a row in a beer garden.

Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court heard the row started outside the Farrars Arms in Oldham, when Rosalind said, “I hope they are using protection” about Jordon’s daughter, who had been “straddling” a boy in the beer garden.

Andrew said: “The next thing I see is Jordon on the other side of our bench screaming at Rosalind.

“He said, ‘That’s my f*****g daughter you are talking about’.”

The court heard Andrew and Rosalind were escorted from the pub before Jordon got out of a taxi in front of them and pushed Rosalind to the floor.

Andrew said: “He came towards me and he was still screaming and shouting and his face was… it was just horrendous, he was growling like a mad dog.”

He said Jordon bit his thumb, the palm of his hand and his eyebrow.

Jordon denies affray, unlawful wounding and assault charges, and the trial continues.
