Emmerdale viewers learnt exactly what happened to Victoria Sugden (played by Isabel Hodgins) during the Big Night Out last month and, in more recent scenes, she has been tormented with having to make a decision regarding her pregnancy.
While there have been suggestions about her keeping, terminating or having the baby and giving it to her brother Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and his husband Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), there could be an entirely different twist in the storyline.
It comes as the actress who plays the Woolpack chef spoke out about the possibility of her character’s husband Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) returning to the Dales.
Speaking about Victoria’s difficulty to get pregnant with Adam, Isabel spoke about the perfect scenario she would have liked for her character.
“In her ideal world, it would be with Adam, and Adam would have been able to have children. They would have had this perfect little family unit,” she told The Mirror.
The Barton farmer was last seen on screen evading the police and leaving the country via a shipping container after taking the flack for his mother Moira Barton’s (Natalie J Robb) murder of Emma Barton.
When asked whether Victoria’s current storyline could spark a reappearance from Adam, Isabel said: “That’s the dream. Everything I [Victoria] do is so that Adam will come back.”
She went onto explain how “fearful” Victoria is with her rapist Lee “knowing where she lives”.
“She’s on edge. I think her trust is scuppered and I think I’d be interested to see what kind of mother she becomes after something like this has happened to her. But if Adam came in and saved the day that would be cracking!” the actress divulged.
Official soap spoilers have revealed Victoria’s decision over the baby, and her plans to tell the rest of the family about the ordeal she has been subjected to.
Angry and upset, Robert is going to refuse to support Victoria and her decision to keep the baby and she is forced to look elsewhere for assistance.
And this is when she starts telling her family exactly what has happened to her.
Popping into the Woolpack, Victoria runs into Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and he is shocked when she tells him she was raped.
In a later scene, she decides to finally face Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), as well as Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and her ex-boyfriend Ellis Chapman (Asan N’Jie).
All of them are extremely disturbed by the news, but vow to stand by her and her decision.
