EMMERDALE stalwart Jimmy King is in for an “awful” time ahead according to actor Nick Miles, as the character’s child abuse storyline unfolds.
Viewers recently saw Jimmy accused by Jai Sharma of hurting his son, Archie, after spotting bruises on his arm.

Appearing on Tuesday’s Lorraine show, Nick told how Jimmy had increasingly struggled with childcare duties – yet did not hint how the plot will now unfold.
He confessed: “It’s awful for him.
“He’s been under a lot of pressure looking after a lot of kids.”
Talking of the dark plotline, he added: “It will rumble through up until Christmas.

“It is tough.”
Yet Nick did confess Jimmy’s partner Nicola will soon become torn between her husband and best friend, Laurel, over the injuries to the children.
This is primarily because Laurel is dating Jai as the drama unfolds.
Nick added: “She’s a very strong woman. But she has to take sides.”

The suspicions of child abuse came about after Jai discover the bruises on his child.
Yet they were in fact caused by a furious Arthur Thomas – who hasn’t taken to Archie at all – pushing him over on the pirate ship, leaving him unconscious.
But instead of owning up to causing the marks himself, Arthur concocted a story about Jimmy being responsible.
