Fans of Emmerdale have been wondering exactly who Nate Robinson (played by Jurell Carter) really is on the ITV soap.
After weeks of eyeing up his employer Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) on the ITV soap, Nate has started to wear down her barriers.
The pair have been fighting their feelings in plain sight of Moira’s husband Cain (Jeff Hordley), and Emmerdale bosses have revealed the storyline will come to a head in October.
But now one viewer has guessed Nate’s true identity by claiming he was brought to the village by resident villainous businesswoman Kim (Claire King), and the duo have been in cahoots to bring down Cain ever since.
Taking to Twitter, the fan wrote: “Nate is so trying to split Cain and Moira up. Kim is behind it. #emmerdale.”
Viewers will remember it wasn’t that long ago Kim made a beeline for mechanic Cain, intent on going after him and kick him and Moira out of Butlers’ Farm.
The returning character has since focused on other ventures, as she continues to build her empire in the Yorkshire Dales following her release from prison last year.
But has she been secretly planning to destroy Cain all along, and using Nate to do it?
Also on Twitter, viewers continued to share their thoughts about the newcomer.
One person said: “Maaan what is Nate’s deal??? I need to know!!! #Emmerdale.”

“Oh Nate shut up about Cain. You don’t know him. And stop acting like you aren’t a disgrace to men yourself. #Emmerdale,” another posted.
In response to the character showing support for Matty Barton (Ash Pamisciano), a third shared: “Not buying Nate’s nice guy act #emmerdale.”
“Nate is definitely up to something! Wonder who he really is?? #Emmerdale,” a fourth asked.
While a fifth declared: “Trying to make Nate look like a nice guy by having him talk to Matty probably isn’t going to work on me #emmerdale.”
“What would you know about Cain and Moira’s relationship Nate. You’ve been around for 5 minutes. #Emmerdale,” a sixth added.
Fed up with Moira not seeing through Cain, especially after Matty’s upset with his friends during tonight’s episode, Nate snapped: “Maybe Cain could shed some light on it. He’s the one who riled up Matty to sort this by the sounds of it.
“When are you going to wake up and see Cain for what he is? Or is it just easier to pretend? Tell yourself whatever you need to to avoid temptation?”
Moira was reeling from Nate’s accusations and the farm hand continued to try and convince his boss to end things with Cain.
“If Cain’s so unpredictable why are you with him?” the employee demanded, as an exhausted Moira fired back” “You really have a problem with him don’t you?”
But it was Nate who had the upper hand at the end, as after admitting he doesn’t think Cain deserves his wife, he shared a very public kiss with girlfriend Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson), and a jealous Moira looked on.
