Emmerdale spoilers: Jai Sharma arrested after violent outburst revelation in Graham twist?

Emmerdale viewers were treated to a week long murder mystery when they watched the events of Hawksford Outdoor Pursuits open day unfold from several different prospectives. However, despite the ITV soap putting forward a host of suspects, Rhona Goskirk’s (played by Zoe Henry) abusive ex-husband Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather) was revealed to be the character who dealt Graham Foster’s (Andrew Scarborough) fatal blow.

But on the night in question, many Emmerdale residents, including Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), can’t account for their whereabouts to the police without fear of getting into trouble.

After turning to drugs to help him cope with the immense amount of pressure he was under in the lead up to the open day, Jai started the day in high spirits.

However, as he set off in his car to pick Laurel Thomas’ (Charlotte Bellamy) daughter, Dotty, up from school, the business almost collided with Graham.

Graham suspected Jai was under the influence and when his fears were proven right took Jai’s car keys off of him to stop him getting into any more trouble.

After initially keeping secret about Jai’s drug problem, Graham told a heartbroken Laurel everything leading to her kicking Jai out.

Unable to tackle his problem, Jai called up his suspicious pizza delivery place for another ‘special’ order.

But when his father Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) realised what he’d done and tried to stop him, Jai almost punched him in the face.

Later, Emmerdale viewers saw Jai laying on the ground in the middle of the village having obviously been involved in some sort of fight.

Even if the attack on Jimmy provides Jai with a well needed alibi, his family life is in tatters after falling off the wagon.

Will Laurel forgive him for lying and putting her daughter in danger or will they split for good?

Meanwhile, has Pierce’s exit already been sealed following his murderous return to the village?

Emmerdale fans learnt Pierce has been watching his ex-wife ever since Graham threatened him upon his release from prison.

Pierce told Graham he believes Rhona is still in love with him despite her plan to move to France with Graham.

Discussing his upcoming storylines, Pierce star Jonathan teased his character might not be around for too long.

“We thought we saw the last of Pierce a few years ago but he’s back,” he continued.

“However, for how much longer?” Jonathan added. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”

Will Pierce face the consequences of his actions or will he escape into the night just as he appeared?

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
