Last night, Emmerdale viewers saw Bernice Blackstock (played by Samantha Giles) accompany her daughter Dee Dee (Mia Gibson-Reed) back to Australia after she heard ex-husband Charlie had suffered a stroke. Bernice wants to be there for her daughter and to help Charlie recuperate. However, she revealed to her sister Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) she would not be returning.
Bernice had promised Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) she would return from Down Under to marry him.
Tonight, viewers saw Liam pining for his wife-to-be as he tracked her flight to Australia.
He was also seen sticking a photo of Bernice in an advent calendar to count down to her return.
Both his daughter Leanne Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger) and Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) expressed concern over his behaviour.
Elsewhere in the village, Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter) left Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) fuming when it was revealed he’d be sticking around.
Nate wants to get to know his family more, particularly his brother Isaac and Moses.
As a result, he moved into Wylie’s Farm and announced the news to former lover Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb).
Moira begged him to leave so she could repair her marriage with Cain, but Nate remained firm.
