The end of the year can only mean one thing: a new season of The Voice UK is just around the corner!
Don’t say you’re not excited now.
The 2020 series of the talent show, which kicks off on ITV on 4 January, was launched earlier today (16 December) with an event at the Soho Hotel in London.
Presenter Emma Willis looked delighted to be reunited with the programme’s existing coaches/judging panel and their latest addition, Meghan Trainor.
Meghan and Emma were joined by Olly Murs, Tom Jones and Will.I.Am at the launch.
This series will mark Emma’s fourth time presenting the show solo, a move which was originally brought about by The Voice switching from the BBC to ITV in 2017.
Meghan’s debut on The Voice comes after Jennifer Hudson was forced to give up her spot on the Coaches’ panel due to filming commitments.
‘I can’t wait for the next series of The Voice, especially to hear all of the incredible talent that will no doubt be walking onto that stage,’ Emma recently said of the new series.
‘I absolutely adore Jennifer and will massively miss her,’ Emma added.
‘However, Meghan is a fab choice to add to the coaching line up and it’s always exciting when a new coach arrives on the show.’
Olly’s charge Molly Hocking stormed to victory in last year’s series, meaning he is the reigning champion coach.
