Spice Girl Emma Bunton shined on stage at the Royal Albert Hall as she played her first solo concert in over 10 years.
And she had a bit of a surprise for her audience.
The star returned to the South Kensington venue for her concert and decided to wow the crowd by bringing her family on stage with her, as well as friends and fellow music geniuses Will Young and Matt Goss.
And then in a move that wowed everyone, she called none other than her own family on for the closing song.
Her other half Jade Jones danced around with their two children, Beau, 12 and Tate, eight. Tate was definitely channeling nineties Baby Spice with her pigtails and pink tutu.
The Christmas concert featured some of Emma’s songs from her solo albums A Girl Like Me and Free Me as well as a number of festive covers, while Jade sang Baby, It’s Cold Outside with her.
Of course she also had to pay tribute to the Spice Girls, singing Spice Up Your Life with four young girls who were dressed as her bandmates.
She also treated the audience to a jazz rendition of Say You’ll Be There.
Sounds dreamy.
The event must have been a blast from the past for Emma, who was back on the stage a whole 22 years after the Spice Girls played at the venue for film Spice World.
‘This has been a long time coming. For so long I’ve wanted to do my very own show,’ the singer said.
‘I think that’s mummy Bunton’s fault, she made me love Christmas.’
The mother-of-two also spoke to the crowd about the recent Spice Girls tour.
‘It was the best time ever. It feels so weird being up here without my girls,’ she said.
‘I know my Geri’s here tonight, I love my Geri.’
Geri was joined by Myleene Klass, Kelly Brook, Lizzie Cundy and Vanessa Feltz in the audience to watch Emma.
Emma then pulled out all the stops when she brought on children from Chickenshed, the inclusive theatre company, to perform Mama.
‘I’ve got an amazing song that I’d like to dedicate to all the mums out there – and all the mums who aren’t here tonight,’ she explained to her audience.
‘I feel so privileged to introduce you to the children from Chickenshed. I have been a patron now for many, many years. Please welcome the Chickenshed kids.’
