Emily Atack lands This Morning presenting gig as she fills in for Holly Willoughby

Emily Atack is set to fill in for Holly Willoughby on This Morning.

The former Inbetweeners actress will reunite with I’m A Celebrity co-star John Barrowman to present the show on Friday 12th April, as the star told The Sun it’s a ‘dream come true.’

It comes as sources also claimed that bosses hope the gig will open more doors for Emily and John as a presenting duo, after it was claimed they were in talks to front their own show later this year.

Emily told the publication: ‘I am absolutely over the moon to be joining This Morning with my best mate John Barrowman over Easter.

‘It’s a dream come true to be presenting one of my favourite shows. I look ­forward to being on the iconic sofa.’

Emily will present the show on Friday as Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford take over as the main hosts during the Easter Break.

The blonde beauty won a whole new army of fans late last year during her stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, where she finished runner-up to winner Harry Redknapp.

The comedic actress also left viewers in hysterics with comedic impressions and impromptu performances, as well as her firm friendship with actor John.

Sources also told the publication that TV bosses are hoping the gig could open more doors for Emily as a presenter, after it was claimed she and John were in talks to front their own show.

Fans went into a tailspin earlier this year when Emily was a guest on Celebrity Juice opposite Holly, and after the pair posed for a selfie, many pointed out their incredible likeness.

It was also reported that Emily was in talks to take over from Fearne Cotton on the ITV2 show, due to her close friendship with the show’s host Keith Lemon. 

However it was later confirmed that Paddy McGuinness had landed the role instead.
