Emilia Clarke and Emma Thompson couldn’t stop smiling as they reunited at the Last Christmas premiere – and it has warmed our stone-cold hearts.

The Game Of Thrones actress and Love Actually favourite were on hand to celebrate the release of the festive film, at London’s BFI Southbank.

And, despite the movie receiving lukewarm reviews all over the world, the pair ignored the drama and looked thrilled as they hugged it out on the red carpet.

Emma, 60, rocked up in a dreamy purple coat and matching trousers – jazzing up her trademark blonde hairdo with shiny purple stars.

Side note: If we attempted the same look, we’d look like a melting Quality Street chocolate.

While Emilia defined glamour in a black dress, with a jewel-encrusted collar and strappy black heels.

The pair were joined on the night by a string of their co-stars, including the always-dapper Henry Golding and director Paul Feig.

Kylie Minogue also made a surprise arrival, along with Martin Kemp and wife Shirlie Holliman – whose son Roman is switching winter in London for summer in Australia as he takes on I’m A Celebrity.

Emilia’s appearance comes after she hit out at those who had decided to spoil the film’s big twist on social media for others.

In fact, in a candid chat with IndieWire, the 33-year-old branded the whole thing: ‘B****y annoying’.

‘Frustrating. It’s more complicated than people are guessing,’ she told the publication.

‘Emma and Greg wrote this script together, but they sent the script to all of their friends and it was only ready when their friends didn’t see the twist coming and couldn’t guess until it happens, so that’s where it comes from.

‘It’s just frustrating.

‘Our world’s literally on fire, so I think that there’s a lot of things outside of people’s control, so when it comes to this kind of stuff, they can do something with it and want to.

‘It’s done with so much fervour, it’s done with a huge amount of energy and all that is, is misdirected energy.’

She makes a good point…

Last Christmas is released in UK cinemas on 15 November.
