Emery sacked LIVE: Arsenal ‘contact’ Allegri, Ljungberg interim manager, Marcelino rumours rejected

THE Arsenal fans had been calling for it… and the day is finally here.

Unai Emery has been sacked as the Gunners boss.

The Spaniard leaves after the North Londoners lost 2-1 to Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday night.

That was the seventh game in a row without a win for Arsenal.

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo is the hot favourite to replace him, but Freddie Ljungberg has been named as the head coach in the interim.
