Elvis private life SECRETS: ‘I do hold a lot back’ teases Priscilla Presley – Here's why

Elvis was married to Priscilla Presley from 1967 until their divorce in 1973, just four years before his untimely death at 42. And while over the years titbits of the couple’s marriage and private life have been made public, there is still much fans do not know that Priscilla Presley is yet to reveal. Earlier this year the 74-year-old explained why.

Speaking on Heart 70s last month while promoting the Elvis Greatest Hits Tour, Priscilla admitted how hard it is for her to decide which memories of The King she will share with fans.

She said: “I have to look at what the greatest good is and not be so selfish.

“There is still a lot that I know that I want to hold for myself.

“But fans always want more no matter how much you give them, which is difficult.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with Smooth Radio around the same time, Priscilla gave an exciting update on the upcoming Elvis biopic from Moulin Rouge’s Baz Luhrmann.

The 74-year-old, who had a three-hour lunch with the director, said: “I’m involved as much as Baz will let me be involved because he’s learning as he’s going along.

“I had Jerry [Schilling] come to my house and visit with Baz.

“We had lunch, and Baz told us both what he had in mind.”

She added: “Now, mind you, this is Baz Luhrmann. It’s going to be very stylised. I mean, this is not going to be just a regular film.

“Yeah. I met him in Memphis. He brought Austin over, who is playing Elvis, to meet me.

“I am meeting with Austin soon, back in LA. He is sending me the script when they finish up the little details. So he has me pretty much involved.”

The untitled Elvis Presley biopic will be released on October 1, 2021.
