Elvis Presley: The King's band REUNITE to honour late star at special Elvis Week event

Elvis Presley remains one of the most beloved and iconic musicians of all time. The King of Rock ’n’ Roll still has a huge and passionate fanbase, many of whom flock to Graceland each year to his contribution to music. At Elvis Week 2020, several of his former bandmates will be reuniting to pay tribute to the late, great star.

Special guests for this year’s Elvis week include James Burton, Glen Hardin and Ronnie Tutt, all of whom are members of the TCB Band who backed the King from 1969 until his death.

One of the highlights of the schedule is an exclusive Jungle Room experience, available to fans for $750 per ticket.

Elvis aficionados will be able to step back in time to 1976 with a visit to the Jungle Room which was a makeshift studio at Graceland and listen to memories from some of the musicians who recorded there with him.

Among those taking part in the Jungle Room experience are bassist Norbert Putnam, pianist David Briggs, drummer Ronnie Tutt and guitarist James Burton.

General sale tickets for Elvis Week 2020 will go on sale on March 6.

The Founders pre-sale begins on Tuesday, while Graceland Insiders can get their hands on tickets from Thursday, 24 hours before general sale begins.

Elvis tragically died on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42.

His then-girlfriend Ginger Alden found him unconscious on the floor of his bathroom and, despite attempts to revive him and an ambulance rushing him to a nearby hospital in Memphis, he later died of a heart attack.

It is now widely believed his ongoing drug use contributed to the cardiac incident which killed him.

The King of Rock ’n’ Roll left behind his ex-wife Priscilla Presley, girlfriend Ginger and daughter Lisa Marie Presley.

Last month, Priscilla attended Elvis 85th birthday celebrations at Graceland.
