The lavish wedding was held at York Minster with guests later being transported to Castle Howard for the ‘festival-themed’ reception.
While guests, including Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice all arrived at the church earlier , all eyes were on Goulding as she entered the church wearing a Victorian-style wedding dress.
The singer, who arrived in an electric blue VW kombi van, opted for an embroidered high neck, long sleeve design and paired her ivory dress with cream coloured roses, pearl earrings, a long, sheer veil covering her face and a sleek chignon.
Goulding’s bridesmaids followed a similar suit, with A-line long-sleeve dressed with embroidered detailing.
Dating since 2017, the Goulding and Jopling confirmed their engagement in a traditional manner last year, with an announcement in the Times reading: “Mr C.W.F. Jopling and Miss E.J. Goulding. The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.”
Jopling proposed to Goulding in August 2018, posting a sweet caption to Instagram that read: “I get to spend the rest of my life with this truly extraordinary and beautiful, beautiful person. No one has ever made me feel more full of life, knowledge, happiness, or love. Hope, passion, confidence, and more love. There is no one I have ever been more complete with and there is no one I will ever feel more complete with. I look forward to a lifetime of exploring the world together, crying with laughter at stupid jokes, chatting into the early hours of the morning about art, music, the world, and the future. I love you Elena.”
