Ellie Goulding has paid tribute to the ‘love of her life’, husband Caspar Jopling, after their lavish wedding.

The Starry-Eyed singer, 32, tied the knot with art dealer Caspar, 27, on Sunday in a ceremony attended by royals and a slew of A-listers.

And reflecting on her newlywed bliss, Ellie shared a snap of the couple kissing at the altar on Instagram on Tuesday.

‘This weekend I married the love of my life, in God’s own country, surrounded by the people I cherish. Overwhelmed with gratitude,’ she wrote.

Goulding added that holding the ceremony at York Minster held special significance for Caspar and his family.

‘Thank you eternally to everyone involved in such a special time, including every single person that traveled from far and wide to come and celebrate with us at York Minster – a place that my husband and his family hold close to their hearts,’ the hitmaker penned.

She concluded: ‘I will never forget your support and generosity. We both send you all so much love and a massive hug xx.’

Our hearts!

We’re not the only ones feeling a bit wobbly after that post, as Ellie’s celebrity mates flocked to the comments section to express their appreciation.

Pixie Lott gushed, ‘Congratulations Ellie, absolutely beautiful,’ while Joe Jonas left a string of party hat emojis.

Jools Oliver and Cressida Bonas penned heart emojis under the post, and designer Julien Macdonald wrote: ‘Congratulations. Amazing.’

Ellie and Caspar exchanged vows at York Minster cathedral on Sunday in front of their family, friends and celebrity guests like Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and James Blunt.

The bride arrived at the ceremony in a blue Volkswagen camper van, while crowds of fans waited outside.

If her mode of transport wasn’t quirky enough, don’t even get us started on the Love Me Like You Do singer’s dress.

Ellie looked like a radiant fairy queen (too much?) in a bespoke Chloé high-necked gown, which apparently took 640 hours to make.

She also rocked a veil that was designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi and featured embroidered White Roses of York and the initials of the happy couple sewn into the collar.

The veil took another 591 hours to put together and frankly, now we’re left wondering how Ellie made it down the aisle without fear of somehow ruining her incredible get-up.

Ellie and Caspar had been together since 2017, with the pair announcing their engagement in August 2018.
