Ed Sheeran’s wife Cherry Seaborn is ‘pregnant with their first child together’, it has been claimed.
The Thinking Out Loud singer, 29, and tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart in 2018, and it has now been claimed they are set to start a family together.
According to reports, the pair will be welcoming a baby this summer, and have been holed up at their swanky Suffolk home.
An insider said they’ve managed to keep their happy news completely under the radar thanks to being in lockdown.
‘Ed and Cherry are over the moon. They’re very excited, but have kept things very low key,’ a source said.
‘Lockdown was a perfect excuse not to be seen out and about too much, but things are getting closer and the excitement has been building so they have started telling friends and family.
‘They’re just making the last of the preparations at home, and the baby is expected later this summer,’ they added to the Sun.
‘It’s a really happy time and their families are all totally delighted for them and cannot wait to meet the new arrival.’
Ed and Cherry are yet to speak publicly amid the claims.
The couple have known each other for years, after going to the same school as kids.
They reconnected back in 2014 and started dating, before secretly tying the knot four years later.
Despite being one of the biggest singers on the planet – and dedicating emotional ballads to his wife – Ed has made sure to keep their relationship largely out of the public eye.
The Shape Of You star shot to fame back in 2011 with the release of single The A Team, from his debut studio album, +, and has provided us with countless bops ever since.
Ed’s last tour, for his Divide album, broke records and became the highest-grossing string of dates of all time.
Following his time on the road, he announced last year that he would be taking a well-earned break from music and social media.
‘Hello all. Gonna go on another break again,’ he shared on Instagram. ‘The Divide era and tour changed my life in so many ways, but now it’s all over it’s time to go out and see some more of the world.
‘I’ve been a bit non-stop since 2017 so I’m just gonna take a breather to travel, write and read.
‘I’ll be off all social media until it’s time to come back.’
Ed continued: ‘To my family and friends, see ya when I see ya, and to my fans, thank you for always being amazing.
‘I promise to be back with some new music when the time is right, and I’ve lived a little more to actually have something to write about.’
Well, that might be sooner than we think…
