It’s common knowledge that Game Of Thrones star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is an incredibly strong guy.

So we’re not surprised that he was able to pull this latest display of strength off with ease.

Ed Sheeran got the chance to meet Hafþór in person, and he didn’t waste the opportunity getting the TV star to flex his muscles and pick him up.

The actor, who played fearsome warrior The Mountain on the HBO show, and muscle man lifted the singer – who has appeared in Game Of Thrones himself – over his head with ease, Ed told him: ‘Don’t drop me!’

Of course Hafþór didn’t drop him, safely putting him back on solid ground in a matter of seconds.

Ed looked like he enjoyed the experience, which must have been like going on a fairground ride.

Sharing video of the Ed-lifting moment to Instagram, Hafþór joked: ‘He asked for it. Luckily I didn’t drop him…He has to work tonight!!’

His Game Of Thrones co-star Nathalie Emanuel, who played Missandei on the show, loved the clip and added a comment of her own, recalling when she was picked up by Hafþór  herself.

She wrote: ‘You did this to me at that wrap party in Spain remember? LOL’.

Back in March, Hafþór broke his own World Strongman record by lifting an incredible 474kg.

The Icelandic actor and athlete – who weighs in at 193kg and 206cm tall – first became the World’s Strongest Man in May last year, when he successfully dead lifted 472 kilograms.

Game Of Thrones fans saw The Mountain unmasked in the show’s final season, as his face hadn’t been seen since season give.

He went head to head with his brother The Hound (Rory McCann) in an epic battle which ended with both of them falling to their deaths from the Red Keep.
