Shape of You singer Ed Sheeran has his very own boozer in Notting Hill and we want to go immediately.
The star has been told, however, that he can’t hold drinking games or give away free alcohol there.
If Ed wants to keep his license to serve alcoholic drinks at Bertie Blossoms, he’ll have to adhere to the strict rules.
He’s just been given permission to serve alcohol at the venue, but only to guests who are seated.
The rules set out for the venue include no free alcohol deals and no drinking games where people must down drinks in a set time or where it is poured directly into someone’s mouth.
Kensington and Chelsea borough council, where the pub is located, gave a very long reason as to why these rules were in place.
‘A responsible person must ensure that staff on relevant premises do not carry out, arrange or participate in any irresponsible promotions in relation to the premises,’ they began.
‘An irresponsible promotion means any one or more of the following activities, or substantially similar activities, carried on for the purpose of encouraging the sale or supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises…’
And then they essentially went on to list all the banned activities mentioned above.
The news comes as Ed recently spoke out about losing weight after he felt like he ate too much and drank a lot of beer.
Speaking on a podcast called Behind The Medal, Ed said: ‘My problem was I’d go to the pub, have bangers and mash, a pie, maybe a pudding and then loads of pints. And then not exercise.’
The Castle on the Hill singer admitted trolls had made negative comments about his weight, although he maintained those that felt the need to comment must be insecure themselves.
‘It all stems from other people’s insecurities. So many people have things they’re insecure about so it makes them feel better to point out someone else’s.’
Still, he seems happy to be focusing on his health a bit more.
‘My friends used to call me Two Dinners Teddy. On tour, it’s very easy to drink every single day because there’s always someone visiting.
‘I had to make a real effort on the tour.
‘I’m 12 stone now. I started running. I’ve got into cycling as well.’
Hopefully he’ll still be up for a pint at his pub at some point.
