Zack Morris has revealed he was called the n-word in a vile racist attack.

The 21-year-old EastEnders’ actor said he was walking through a car park when he was subjected to racist abuse.

Zack tweeted to his 30,400 followers yesterday: “To those who think racism is a thing of the past.

“Last night I was walking through a car park to my car and was getting abuse from this random guy calling me a “N****” and “Uncle Tom” repeatedly.

“This is the sort of mentality that is still destroying our generation and it MUST STOP.”

Zack’s co-star Shona McGarty, who plays Whitney Dean replied to his tweet: “Disgraceful” with an angry face emoji.

While one of the BBC soap’s writers said: “Oh man….hanging head and sending love.”

The EastEnders’ star’s followers rushed to the post to show their support.

One said: “Vile behaviour. I’m so sorry this happened to you. We need to come down hard on these racists or it will never stop. Everyone needs to take a stand against it.”

While another wrote: “Seriously? Wow, that is shocking. I’m glad you are telling this story as this is real and should not be happening!”

“So sorry, so angry you were made to experience this poisonous nonsense. Love and strength to you” said a third fan adding a heart emoji.

Zack is known for playing the role of Keegan Baker in EastEnders.

Since he became part of the programme he’s had some major storylines, including a harrowing plot about knife crime one last year.
