When asking if Chantelle was able to use ‘domestic abuse’ as a reason to petition for divorce from Gray, Linda said: “In order to obtain a divorce, you need to prove that the marriage has ‘irretrievably broken down’.
“One example of this is to prove .’unreasonable behaviour’ from a partner.
“Violence and domestic abuse in all its forms would certainly be considered as ‘unreasonable behaviour by a court.
“Therefore Chantelle would be able to divorce Gray by making a court aware of his domestic abuse,” Linda explained.
