EastEnders spoilers: Dennis Rickman’s punch forces Sharon Mitchell to make big decision

In the aftermath of the dramatic EastEnders scenes, Sharon (played by Letitia Dean) will make a big decision.

Tonight’s episode of the BBC soap will see Sharon turn to husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and friend Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) for advice.

Sharon doesn’t give them the full picture, but both Phil and Linda offer up words that make Sharon think she might not have been harsh enough on her son.

As a result, Sharon thinks she should be tougher when it comes to his behaviour.

She heads back home to have words with him but viewers will have to wait to see how it goes.

Is Sharon at risk of pushing her son even away further?

The altercation came about last night after Dennis (Bleu Landau) insisted she hadn’t been there for him when he needed her to be.

Fans will remember it’s not long since Sharon returned from a long trip to Australia where she was visiting friend Michelle Fowler (Jenna Russell) in order to take a break from her affair with Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).

It unfolded as Sharon said: “Dennis. Look, I’m not angry at you, really I’m not. You know, I’m trying to understand.”

Dennis then hit back: “Interested in me now, are you?”

“I’m always interested. Darling, I’m worried about you,” she insisted.

The youngster quickly replied: “Because it suits you. The only time you care about me is when it suits you.

“I was bullied. I was beaten. I even needed stitches, and where did you go? Australia. The other side of the world. At least they’re there for me,” Dennis explained, referencing the boys in the drug gang.

“They are using you,” Sharon said but Dennis was still insistent they cared more about him than his own mother.

“Don’t be so stupid,” she continued and it was clear Dennis wasn’t happy as he stormed into the hallway.

“I hate you. They were right about you. You’re just a total slapper,” he declared as he began to make his way upstairs.

Sharon grabbed her son’s arm and as a result Dennis turned around and punch her in the face.

There are other problems on the blonde bombshell’s plate and husband Phil is in major financial trouble.

And on top of that, his own son Ben Mitchell (Harry Reid) is trying to con him.

EastEnders continues tonight at 8.30pm on BBC One.
