Chantelle Atkins (played by Jessica Plummer) has been through the mill in recent months on EastEnders. She has been violently abused by her husband, Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith), who doesn’t really know he’s doing anything wrong.
Most recently, Chantelle lost the baby she was carrying and has been left in turmoil over the miscarriage.
In the coming weeks, Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) says she will babysit Chantelle’s other two children.
While walking across Albert Square, she bumps in to Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and finds out something harrowing.
Denise reveals Gray has been involved in a fight, but Chantelle knew nothing about it.

It’s all because of Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) who spotted the pair sharing an intimate moment and has been using it to her advantage.
