EastEnders spoilers: Chantelle Atkins suffers huge loss after Gray attacks again?

This week viewers will see the tragic aftermath of the boat party ripple through Albert Square, but this isn’t the last of the drama for the residents. Chantelle Atkins (played by Jessica Plummer) could be about to endure one last horrific attack from her husband Gray (Toby Alexander-Smith), who lashes out at their children. Will she make it through, and is it finally time to leave her abusive husband?

Viewers have watched in horror over the last few months as Gray’s abuse towards Chantelle has gradually grown worse.

It would be easy to forget about them in the tragedy of last week, but in upcoming scenes, Gray will be seen getting involved in the drama.

On Friday, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) handed herself into the police for killing Leo King (Tom Wells) in self-defense.

This week however, will see Chantelle push for Gray to defend her as she is questioned by the police, but this will provoke Gray, putting the family in danger.

Chantelle has recently convinced herself that Gray has been getting the help he has needed to beat his demons.

But the stress will quickly get to Gray when he agrees to represent Whitney and his abusive side will quickly show it’s ugly face.

Gray will start to believe that Whitney isn’t telling him the truth about what really happened the night Leo died.

As the pressure starts to build Gray will snap at his children Mackenzie and Mia, but when Chantelle finds out, things could start going from bad to worse.

Over the last few months, Gray has been emotionally and psychologically abusive towards his wife, but at the end of last year, he also turned physical.

The abusive husband has been begging Chantelle for a baby, but she obviously isn’t happy about it.

The two also renewed their vows recently and it looked as if Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) was going to rumble the abuse, but it has all gone quiet since then.

So will he finally be found out and what will happen when he does?

If Gray were to attack Chantelle, would she make it out alive this time?

Elsewhere on the Square, Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) said an emotional farewell to Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) after he was rejected once and for all by a grieving Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean).

Sharon gave birth to a baby boy on Friday but just hours later was told by Keanu that Denny (Bleu Landau) had drowned, leaving her broken.

But with Keanu gone, will Karen be keeping a closer eye on Chantelle and will Gray’s abuse finally be exposed?

Could Karen get caught up in the cross-fire and become Gray’s next target?

EastEnders continues on BBC One tonight at 7.30pm.
