EASTENDERS’ Patsy Palmer rode around Malibu on a bike as she prepared to say goodbye to sun-drenched California and return to Albert Square.
The actress, 46, will revive her role as mouthy Bianca Jackson after a five-year break from the BBC soap.
Patsy looked happier than ever as she enjoyed a relaxing day out and about on her bike in Los Angeles.
She enjoyed some quality time with her husband in the sunshine, with the pair stopping for a drink afterwards.
The soap veteran was dressed casually in a beige coat, blue joggers and a cap as she spent some quality time with her man.
After quitting in 2014, the mum of four moved to LA to spend more time with her family and husband Richard Merkell.
Patsy and her cabbie husband Richard became quite a fixture on the Hollywood scene through Patsy’s passion for empowering women.
She turned to DJing in Malibu for fun while son Fenton, 18, and daughter Emilia, 17, worked on their showbiz careers – and her brood even hang out with the offspring of superstars.
Before that the red-head beauty quit acting in 1999 to “spend more time with her family and pursue other projects”.
She also began home schooling her three youngest kids.
Now she is preparing for her return to EastEnders as a key signing for new show boss Kate Oates.
Viewers will see Bianca, who made her debut 25 years ago, reunited with troubled daughter Tiffany, played by Maisie Smith.
Patsy joined EastEnders in 1993, left in 1999, and returned for a second stint in 2008 before quitting again in 2014.
Bianca’s wedding to Ricky Butcher, played by Sid Owen, in 1997 drew one of the biggest soap audiences ever — more than 22million.
Despite her return to the Square, Patsy had admitted in the past that her new LA lifestyle meant she “didn’t miss” acting at all.
She added: “I don’t miss it one bit. I love talking to women, being around women, women that want to support each other.”
