EastEnders has provided fans with every emotion under the sun during 2019, and it looks like that is set to continue in the new year.
This Christmas saw the Mitchells and Carters take centre stage, following the baby drama and Linda’s battle with alcohol.
And it looks like the Carters – and indeed the Queen Vic – could be in trouble as EastEnders enters a sure to be dramatic 2020.
Linda (Kellie Bright) turned to the bottle this year to help deal with the stress of her son Ollie being diagnosed with autism.
Fans saw her go through a drink-driving incident, before husband Mick (Danny Dyer) realised what was going on.

It looks as though the fan-favourite couple could be heading for heartbreak too, as bookmakers Coral have given them odds of 4/5 to split in 2020.
Not only that, but they have exclusively given Daily Star Online odds of 2/1 that the Carter couple will lose the pub in the new year too.
Elsewhere in Albert Square, things aren’t looking good for the Mitchell family – or Martin Fowler (James Bye).

They’ve all been up to no good in 2019, with Martin being roped into Ben’s (Max Bowden) scheming to protect his wife Stacey (Lacey Turner).
Ben discovered that it had been Stacey who attacked his dad Phil (Steve McFadden) earlier in the year, and forced Martin to do his dirty work in order to keep quiet.
Following an explosive Christmas, it seems Phil, Ben or Martin could be heading to prison – though it’ll most likely be Ben.
Coral have given odds of 5/4 that Phil will be locked up behind bars.
Meanwhile, there are odds of 1/2 that Martin will be sent down for his bad behaviour.
But it’s clear that Ben is the obvious pick, with odds of 8/11.
The trouble doesn’t end there for Martin, though, as it seems there could be some serious drama when Stacey returns.
Actress Lacey Turner left the soap to go on maternity leave, while Stacey fled to get away from the Mitchells’ wrath.
Her apparent new boyfriend was seen coming to collect her belongings, with fans shocked she’d moved on so quickly.
Stars of the soap have already promised some dramatic scenes for Stacey’s inevitable return to the soap.

But could she turn up with a new baby following her time away?
Coral reckon so, giving odds of just 1/5 that Stacey will return with a new baby in her arms.
The bookies’ Harry Aitkenhead told Daily Star Online: “Both Ben and Phil Mitchell are going to find themselves in some very hot water, although Ben looks to be in more trouble.
“There’s definitely going to be more trouble for Mick and Linda Carter as well, and we would not be surprised to see them split up at all.”
Only time will tell how things turn out, but trouble is never far away in Albert Square.
