EASTENDERS’ nice guy Martin Fowler will turn EVIL after getting involved with Ben Mitchell’s dodgy dealings.

Soap boss Kate Oates has exclusively revealed what lies ahead for the family man after he returns to the show this week and finds himself blackmailed by Ben into working for him.

Kate told The Sun Online: “It’s a great story for Martin (James Bye) when he comes back. We will see a very different side to Martin, which James is loving, I believe.

“It gives him a chance to get his teeth into something different.”

Martin has been on the run with wife Stacey (Lacey Turner) after she brutally attacked Phil Mitchell back in August.

While Ben initially tried to frame Keanu Taylor for the attack, the bad boy kept the wrench with Stacey’s DNA on it as collateral.

But when Martin hears that his daughter Bex has tried to kill herself, he turns up in Walford – minus Stacey- to make sure she is OK.

The Panesars have a bone to pick with Ben

Of course, it’s only a matter of time before Ben and Martin cross paths and Ben soon lures Martin into his murky world.

Initially, Martin appeals to Ben’s better side to let Stacey and the kids come home, but as Ben contemplates the idea, he gets a call telling him Lola has been kidnapped by Jags Panesar.

A panicked Ben tells Martin that if he rescues Lola, he’ll wipe the slate clean.

But Martin is a mug for taking Ben at his word and he’s left fuming when Ben gives him another task or he’ll hand the wrench into the police.

With Martin over a barrel, Ben is soon piling the pressure on him. And things grow worse when Ben plays a nasty trick which leads Martin to confront him.

Tensions between the men reach breaking point shortly after and – with the pressure mounting for Martin – he lashes out at Ben.
