However, unfortunately for EastEnders‘ Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley), the romance was short-lived as she was dumped at the end of it.
Karen’s kiss with EastEnders cast member Caren came after they went on a date.
They had headed back to Karen’s pad to continue on their night – sharing a steamy kiss as they sat on the sofa.
However, Caren called time on their romance as she said she didn’t think Karen was serious about a relationship.
This came after Karen exclaimed after the smooch: “That really wasn’t as weird as I thought it would be.”
Caren told Karen that she wasn’t up for “playing games” with someone who was experimenting.
Insisting she wasn’t messing her about, Karen told her: “I haven’t had much luck. You should see some of the fellas I have been out with.
“You, you’re different, and I don’t mean built different… You’re nice, thoughtful.”
However Caren replied: “You either feel something or you don’t.”
Karen admitted she needed a “little bit more time”, however, Caren told her it was over.
She added: “I’ve had it up to here with relationships that don’t go anywhere and I need to be sure, and so do you.”
Karen’s daughter Bernie walked in just as Caren was making here exit.
Shrugging her shoulders, Karen told her daughter: “They even dump you better.”
BBC viewers seemed upset the romance was over, with one writing on Twitter: “Aww, I liked Karen and Caren.”
While another exclaimed: “Oh no! Caren and Karen are no more.”
EastEnders returns to BBC One on Monday at 8pm.
