EastEnders fans stunned as Hunter Owen 'dies' in heartbreaking scenes


EastEnders fans were stunned as an injured Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) returned to Walford tonight to find his mum Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite).

The EastEnders cast member has escaped prison, and seriously injured himself in the process, leading Mel to realise he needed urgent assistance.

As Mel spoke about what he looked like when he was little, the episode ended with Hunter lying in Mel’s lap as she rocked him while crying, leading fans to believe he had died.

They took to social media to share their shock at the emotional scenes, as one posted: “Did Hunter just die in Mel’s arms?”

Another added: “Looks like Hunter is dead. At least he doesn’t have to do much acting as a corpse.”

A third chipped in: “I have a feeling Hunter is no more and died in Mel’s arms.”

A fourth wrote: “OMG is Hunter dead?”

Mel looked devastated as she cradled her ill son in her arms

Mel seemed to be very upset as she cradled her only child, but she is only set for more heartbreak as Whitney Dean and Callum Highway’s wedding approaches.

The soap has confirmed Hunter is still alive as he is seen creeping around Albert Square with a gun, hinting at a shock death.

It has been revealed Hunter is going to be killed off as Charlie will be exiting the soap after a year.

The details of his death are yet to be confirmed, so fans will have to wait and see what happens.

Looks like Walford is going to become a bloodbath once again…
