EastEnders fans should expect a grisly death this Christmas period as the soap looks set to kill off a beloved character in a brutal twist.
EastEnders spoilers have hinted that someone is going to die this Christmas after Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) finally exposed his affair with Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) last night.
Since Louise Mitchell’s (Tilly Keeper) exit has been confirmed, fans have been speculating that she could be killed off in a shock twist, despite Phil and Ben plotting Keanu’s death.
Walford is no stranger to gruesome deaths during the twelve days of Christmas, with a whopping 17 characters being killed off during the festive period.
Fan favourite Jamie Mitchell was killed off on Christmas Day in 2002, while Paul Truman was murdered by a gang on December 23 in 2004.
Archie Mitchell was killed by Stacey Fowler on December 28 in 2009 and icon Pauline Fowler died in Albert Square on Christmas Day in 2006.
In comparison, Emmerdale has killed off ten characters during the festive time, while Coronation Street has only had three.
Could EastEnders be set to kill off someone else between Christmas and New Year’s Eve?
This year’s festive period is between Christmas Day and January 5 2020, meaning there is plenty of time for someone to meet their maker.
The soap’s Senior Executive Producer has hinted that there could be a murder tomorrow night, but could she be leading viewers down the garden path?
She told press including Daily Star Online: “You learn that if you cross one Mitchell you cross them all.
“There’s a little bit of a twist in there as to who’s going to deliver the killer blow and so that’s pretty much kind of part of it.”
Viewers know there have been spoiler pictures released of Keanu in the airport with his mum Karen, hinting he could be set to flee the Square.
Could Louise accidentally be killed by her own family as Phil and Ben’s murder plot goes horribly wrong?
EastEnders continues tonight at 9.30pm on BBC.
