Drake has spoken out for the first time after being booed off stage at Camp Flog Gnaw Festival.

The God’s Plan rapper was humiliated after being jeered by the audience at LA’s Dodgers Stadium on Sunday night, after they thought Frank Ocean would be the surprise performer.

But rather than allow the awkward situation to fade away quietly, Drake has addressed it head on by jokingly vowing to headline the festival for the next 10 years.

Alongside photos backstage at the festival, Drizzy said: ‘Plot twist…just signed a 10 year residency at Camp Flog Gnaw sorry kids see you EVERY SINGLE YEAR till you are 30.’

Now that would literally be their worst nightmare.

Drake, 33, had earlier spoken to Everyday Struggle host DJ Akademiks and admitted the embarrassing situation was a ‘moment of humility’.

DJ Akademiks had tweeted: ‘Drake is taking it in stride tho… he told me personally regarding the camp flog gnaw performance it’s a “moment of humility which is always welcomed”.

‘He also added “was just not my night. Wasn’t who they wanted to see”.’

Tyler, the Creator, who founded Camp Flog Gnaw, was pretty upset with the reaction Drake received and hit out in a series of irate tweets.

The Odd Future rapper said: ‘I thought bringing one of the biggest artist on the f**king planet to a music festival was fire! But flipside, a lil tone deaf knowing the specific crowd it drew.

‘Some created a narrative in their head and acted out like a****es when it didn’t come true and I don’t f**k with that.

‘This n**** did feel no ways! Song is beautiful. Also, mostly everyone was having a great time, those s**ts in the front area were the ones being mad rude, which, I can see why, but, nah, f**k that. ‘Y’all represented me and flog to my guest and made us look sooo entitled and trash [sic].’

He also described their behaviour as ‘mob mentality’.
