Twitch streamer Ninja has claimed that Drake is a more skilled Fornite player than Pewdiepie.

Burn!

Last night, Twitch crashed as Ninja and the YouTube sensation played the online game with a global audience watching on – but that wasn’t the primary thing on Pewdiepie’s mind.

The Swedish gamer just wanted to know if he was any better than Drake, who famously played with Ninja in March 2018.

When hearing the question, Ninja burst out laughing before giving the Hotline Bling singer the gaming crown Pewdiepie so desperately wanted.

Even though Ninja didn’t appreciate Pewds’ gaming skills, he jokingly said that Drake ‘couldn’t touch’ his T-Series diss tracks which he released hitting back at the Indian platform during their race to being the most subscribed YouTube channel.

While the paired chatted away on the live stream their fans complained on Twitter because they were missing out on all the fun thanks to Twitch’s crash.

It happened as the second week of KEEMSTAR’s Friday Fortnite tournament arrived and a whole bunch of famous gamers competed for a prize pool of $20,000 (£15,698).

But it seems like the hype weighed down on Twitch as online users complained that they could not access the web or the chat rooms.

The live streaming video platform tweeted from an official account to ask users to bear with them as they tried to sort out the issue.

‘We are looking into the issue causing the site not to load, we’re very sorry for the trouble,’ they shared.

‘Hang tight and we will keep you updated.’

As he played the online video game with the Swedish YouTuber, Ninja tweeted: ‘I think @pewdiepie and I broke twitch I am not sure.’

Upset fans unable to tune into the session flocked to social media to get to the bottom of things before Ninja or Twitch were able to tweet.

‘Ninja and pewdiepie broke twitch Due to traffic HAHAHHAHA U 2 areee insaneee,’ said one fan on Twitter.

‘yo i think yall broke twitch,’ another tweeted Ninja when he was blissfully unaware.

A hurt fan said: ‘I think @Ninja and @pewdiepie broke Twitch! Because the chat and the app is broken!’

Another explained: ‘Ninja and Pewdiepie had 500K people speaking in Ninja chat boom it stopped working.’

Realising what the drama was all about, a user posted: ‘Wait Did Ninja and pewdiepie teaming up actually break Twitch?’

Around the time of the crash, the stream from Ninja’s channel had 179,509 concurrent viewers.

Meanwhile, Pewdiepie was streaming the game on DLive and amassed around 140,000 viewers.

When Ninja famously played rapper Drake in March 2018 they smashed records for the most concurrent viewers on the platform.

The Hotline Bling hitmaker’s involvement saw him playing on PS4 and jumping on board Ninja’s stream –  who was playing on PC – and chatting via Discord.

The stream viewing count soon blew up after Drake shared the link on his official Twitter, growing from 200,000 to over 600,000, smashing the previous record of 388,000.

If that wasn’t enough, Travis Scott and JuJu Smith-Schuster also joined the game later as well.

Drake revealed on the live stream he’d been playing Fortnite for a month or two, stating how his crew play the game in the studio between recording sessions.

After being heard snacking on stream, Drake said: ‘Man honestly, I’m usually eating healthy but I had pizza tonight because it’s so late.’

But does pineapple pizza belong in this world?

Drake said: ‘I feel like chicken and pineapple pizza could work, but I don’t eat meat anymore. But I enjoy pineapple on pizza though.’

Will we see more of that this year?
