Dr Pimple Popper removes 'talking' lump from singer's bum in gross extraction

Dr Pimple Popper, real name Dr Sandra Lee, is back for a new series of her polarising show on TLC.

In tonight’s episode, the American star meets 50-year-old Leta, who is a passionate gospel singer.

Leta loves to bring joy to her local church with her music, but she’s secretly trying to cope with an orange-sized lump on her bum.

Speaking of her music, Leta said: “It’s like a coping mechanism.”

“It’s inconvenient to say the least”

Leta struggles daily with the lump despite being confident on stage, as it affects her life dramatically.

She explained: “It is huge. It feels like a good-sized orange.

“The first time I noticed that I had a lump on my leg was probably about 10 years ago.

“It’s inconvenient to say the least. It could be 40°F or 120°F, I’m always wearing a long sweater or a long top. Then I spent quite a while taping [the lump down].”

Leta has her upcoming wedding to fiancé James to think about so is ready to get her lump sorted out.

She says: “It’s embarrassing. It affects my self-esteem because I feel like there’s something defective about me. There are a lot of days where I’d just rather stay in bed.”

Heading to Dr Lee’s California clinic from her Alabama home, Leta is nervous to meet the famous doc.

“She says: “I’m walking into Dr Lee’s office dysfunctional because of this lump on my leg.

“But I hope when I leave today, I can leave excited about my future because I’m getting married!”

Once on the operating table, Dr Lee discovers the lump is a lipoma which means there’s no squirting pus or goo.

As Dr Lee gets her fingers in to yank it out, a squeaking noise can be heard which freaks Leta out.

Dr Lee says: “Do you hear it talking to us? It is, it’s like talking to us.”

She explains: “Sometimes lipomas make squeaking noises, it’s just skin against skin and then there’s air involved now that I’ve opened the area.

“I think the lipomas talk to me because they know I’m coming to get them!”

Leta tries to calm her nerves by singing on the operating table as Dr Lee pulls the lipoma out.

Afterwards, Leta says: “Wow, I can’t believe it’s not there anymore! Now I can get excited about getting married and walking down the aisle!”

Dr Pimple Popper airs Thursdays at 10pm exclusively on TLC.
