Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm has signed a deal with Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s production company, Skybound Entertainment to develop a scripted television series based on the Dr Disrespect character. The deal brokered by Creative Artists Agency and Skybound is the first for a Twitch Streamer.

Beahm has garnered over 100M views on Twitch, hosts an average of 20k concurrent viewers on his regular streams and commands a fan base of nearly 4M on Twitch and 1.3M on YouTube.

In defining the possible artistic concepts surrounding Beahm, Skybound noted that they are leaning towards an animated series in a styling similar to Castlevania or Thundercats.

Beahm, his management team at Boom.tv, and his reps at CAA are setting their sights on a vision beyond that of streaming. The collective is looking at a chance to develop a backstory and dig into Beahm’s Doc as a character.

Beahm got his start on YouTube in 2010 and Twitch in 2015. Before his streaming career started, Beahm graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and played NCAA Division II basketball.
