Paris Jackson is the latest celebrity to protest for justice in the wake of George Floyd’s murder.

Marches across the US and the rest of the world were sparked after George, an unarmed and handcuffed black man, was killed after being arrested – with footage showing police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on his neck as he cried out: ‘I can’t breathe!’

The four officers involved were fired, and Chauvin was arrested Friday on suspicion of third-degree murder, meaning he has been accused of killing George without prior intent, but with disregard for his life.

Model and actress Paris was seen carrying a sign that read ‘Peace, Love, Justice’ as she joined in a Black Lives Matter rally in Los Angeles, California.

The 22-year-old later commented on her participation, writing on Twitter: ‘Don’t tell me to sit this one out. Especially if you’re in the comfort of your homes behind a screen.

‘Until you’re up there on the front lines with me, i will not respect your opinion.

‘I personally will not partake in violence, nor do I condone it. But at least I’m f****** here. Some of y’all talking s*** as if you were actually there with us today when the fuzz were shooting at us.’

Paris continued: ‘You do you, I’ll do me. Peace is my way, it doesn’t have to be yours. But think about the type of person you come off as when you attack someone who’s advocating for peace.

‘Love peace justice.’

A number of celebrities have demanded justice for George after he died earlier this week, including Rihanna and Beyonce.

Meanwhile, Chrissy Teigen pledged $200,000 (£160,000) to help bail out protesters after a troll branded those seeking justice ‘rioters and criminals’.

Lady Gaga branded President Donald Trump a ‘racist fool’ in a lengthy statement addressing George’s death and the protests that have followed.

The singer also called for change as she hit out at systematic racism and the President for ‘fueling racist activity.
