‘Don’t shout at me’ Dan Walker responds to furious Strictly viewers accusing him of ‘fix’

Dan Walker, 44, responded to angered viewers who did not agree with him making it through to the next stage of the hit BBC One show. The BBC Breakfast presenter and his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova managed to dodge the feared dance-off another week.

However, some viewers have voiced their opposition to Dan avoiding the bottom of the leaderboard.

Sharing their views on Twitter, some viewers theorised there could be a “fix” in his favour because he works for the BBC.

ClareHollingwo2 wrote: “HOW?? JUST HOW is Dan getting through week by week when far better dancers are in the dance off and voted off?

“The voting system must be fixed, so BBC employees have a free card to the final !!

He also expressed his delight at being able to participate in the programme, adding that “it’s only a TV show”.

He penned: “Please don’t shout at me.

“I’m having an amazing time, my kids are delighted & it’s only a TV show!

“For those asking, I don’t know who is voting for us (probably not Craig) but we’re incredibly thankful to everyone who is.
