Donald Trump’s £1.2m armour-plated limo with bullet-proof windows and secret assault rifles hits UK streets

DONALD Trump’s ‘Beast’ limo is back on UK turf while the US President spends the day with world leaders at the Nato summit in Watford.

The President took a trip on the Marine One helicopter on the way to the summit and rolled up at The Grove country house hotel in his seven-seat limousine and team of 20 accompanying vehicles in his motorcade.

The Cadillac One weighs nine tonnes (20,000lbs) and has eight-inch thick, armour-plated doors and bulletproof windows made of five layers of glass and polycarbonate to keep the US leader and his wife Melania safe and sound.

The doors of the car weigh the same as those on a Boeing 757.
The bodywork of the car is five-inch thick military-grade armour and if the car needs to protect its precious cargo it is armed with front-mounted tear gas canisters and onboard shotguns.

The limo has specialist reinforced tyres and steel rims which will keep the car on the road even if the tyres are destroyed.
In case of emergency, the car, which travels with an identical counterpart in the Presidential motorcade, comes with medical supplies, including a life support machine, oxygen tanks and bottles of President Trump’s blood type.

The custom-built Cadillac appear for the first time in September last year, and its latest visit to the UK will be the second time it has seen the streets of Britain.
The inside of the car is sealed against biological and chemical attacks and has a special foam around the fuel tank to prevent explosion in case of impact.

The chauffeur is specially trained to deal with demanding conditions, and the driver’s side has its very own communications panel with GPS tracking.

The car comes with a satellite phone and a direct line to the Vice President and the Pentagon.

President Trump’s motorcade has agents who are trained for eight-months before being put on his protection detail, and have SR-16 rifles, a pistol and stun grenades to keep the leader safe.

Police cars and vehicles with electronic surveillance and the ability to block signals and IEDs front up the presidential motorcade.

An ambulance with extra bags of President Trump’s blood and another set of police cars travels alongside a communications car maintaining constant contact with security agencies.
